“It is through the Most Holy Virgin Mary that Jesus Christ has come to the world, and it is also through her that he must reign in the world.”
St. Louis de Montfort
Jesus, the Son of God the Father, has shared in our human condition in every way, to the point of sharing our dying, so that we may be given a sharing in his Divine life. Jesus has given himself completely to us through Mary, and those who wish to give themselves completely to Jesus must do the same. Salvation came into our world through Mary and through Mary we can experience the fullness of this same salvation which is a profound participation in the life of Jesus Christ. In the words of Father de Montfort, no one can truly be a child of God without also being a child of Mary.
Consecration to Jesus through Mary is a beautiful exercise to increase our spirituality and our ability to truly serve our Lord Jesus Christ. Consecration means to devote one’s time and attention to a solemn or sacred purpose. Mary’s life was set aside for the sole purpose of serving Our Lord. By following her example, we, too, can completely give ourselves to Christ in service and love.
There will be two Preparation Classes and Consecrations each year, culminating in your personal consecration to Jesus through Mary:
- Beginning in October with Consecration on March 3rd, the Feast of St. Katherine Drexel.
- Beginning in April, with Consecration on August 15th, the Feast of the Assumption of Mary.
